Mr. James Clyde "J.C." Minish, Jr

Mr. James Clyde "J.C." Minish, Jr., age 81 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born on May 21, 1930 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late James Clyde Minish, Sr. and Lodemie Woodruff Minish. In addition to his parents, Mr. Minish was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Minish. He had served in the United States Navy, and retired from J.P. Stevens as an industrial engineer.
Mr. Minish is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Sharon Minish of Collinsville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Beth Sauls of Charlotte, North Carolina and Patricia and Thomas James of Hickory, North Carolina; a longtime faithful and devoted companion, Betsy Hughes of Stuart; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Carolyn Eleen Minish of Charlotte; and one sister, Bettye Goins of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Tommy Shepherd officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. The family prefers no flowers, and that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, Patrick County Chapter, P.O. Box 1301, Stuart, Virginia 24171.
