Mr. James Blaine Moore

Mr. James Blaine Moore, age 76, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Moore was born in Surry County on January 12, 1941, to James Earl and Callie Ramey Moore. He was retired from Proctor-Silex and L. S. Starrett Co., and he was a member of Welcome View Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. Among the many who will always cherish his memory are his wife, Clara Hice Moore; daughters and a son-in-law, Teresa and David King, and Tonya Moore; his adored grandchildren, Laken King and Andrew King; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gaye Morris, Sherry and Dennis Lowe, and Mary and Rabb Taylor; a brother, Jack Moore; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Floyd Morris and a sister-in-law, Tammy Moore. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Shelton and Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
