Mr. James Robert White

Mr. James Robert White, 89, of Elkin passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 30, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Surry County on January 14, 1923 to the late Emory Zachery and Nannie Dudley White. Mr. White was a retired Operating Engineer for Fletcher-Cramer in New Jersey after many years of service and a dedicated member of Welcome View Baptist Church as long as his health permitted. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 66 years, Mrs. Eva Nettie Lusardi White, of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert Daniel and Debbie White of Bricktown, NJ, Wayne White of Elkin and Ricky and Jennifer White also of Elkin; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Victoria Stanley of Elkin; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger Lee and Betty White also of Elkin. In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by two sons, Larry James White and Frank Magliocco; two sisters, Stella Dockery and Lula Haynes and a brother, Billy White. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, October 6, 2012 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by Rev. Marty Reeves and the Rev. Mickey Brooks. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to8 pm.
