Mr. Jeffery Dean Shaw

Jeffrey Dean Shaw, 58 of Elkin, passed away after an unexpected illness on January 5, 2016. He was born on August 17, 1957 to Claudine Shaw and Juanita Todd Shaw Bauguess in Alleghany County, NC. He was a beloved and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother, Juanita Bauguess. Also surviving are five sisters; Sandy Edwards and husband Bill; Glenda Sizemore; Deborah Sprinkle and husband Jim; Stephanie Nofal and husband Philip; Tonya Childress and husband Dennis along with one brother; Frankie Bauguess and fiancé Beth. He leaves behind eleven cherished nieces and nephews and five precious great nephews.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Word of Life Christian Center at 733 US Hwy 21, State Road, NC. Visitation with the family begins at noon followed by his “Home Going” service at 1:00 pm.
Pastor Jamie Wood will be officiating. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Jeff’s church, Word of Life Building Fund at 204 Tannery Road, State Road, NC 28676. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is helping the Shaw family.
