Mr. Jeffrey Leftwich

Mr. Jeffrey Donald Leftwich, age 72 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Baptist Hospital. Mr. Leftwich was born in Carroll County on January 27, 1941 to Arnold Washington Leftwich, Sr. and Elma Painter Leftwich. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to so many. He will be dearly missed. Surviving are a son, D. L. Brady, a grandson, Kyle Brady; a step son, J. W. Noisey; sisters and a brother-in-law, Eleanor Leftwich, Nelba and Raymond Dowell, Juanita Montgomery, Loreita Bennett, Joy Cannoy and Mashel Leftwich; brothers and sisters-in-law, Maynard Leftwich, A. W. Leftwich, Jr and Betty, Clellan and Darlene Leftwich, Shirley Leftwich and Barbara Leftwich and very special buddies, Deegan "Big-un", Roscoe and A-Rod. In addition to his parents, Mr. Leftwich was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Dean Leftwich; the mother of his children, Darlene Brady; sisters, Bernice Leftwich, Evon Draughn and Michalene Leftwich and by brothers, Berman Leftwich and J. C. Leftwich. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Leftwich Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
