Mr. Jerry Wayne "Jay" Cain

Mr. Jerry Wayne “Jay” Cain, age 53 of Ararat, VA, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Cain was born in Surry County on June 20, 1962 to Carlene Bowman Cain and the late Johnny Henderson Cain, Jr.. Jerry will always be remembered for his kindness and love for others. In addition to his mother, Mr. Cain is survived by his girlfriend, Michelle Hall; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Cain, Jr. and Amanda, Roscoe Cain and Kimberly, Peyton Montgomery and Nathanael Montgomery; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Blankenship and Taylor; grandchildren, Alysa, Maddox, Trent and Logan; a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Beth Cain; a special nephew, Nicholas Cain and several other nieces and nephews. Mr. Cain was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine “Bue” Hopkins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darren Slate officiating. Burial will follow in Willis Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel.
