Mr. Jessie Harrison Tilley

Mr. Jessie Harrison Tilley, age 78, of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday morning, November 5, 2017 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Tilley was born in Surry County on January 4, 1939 to the late Roland and Daisy Whitaker Tilley. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Betty Ann Mauldin Tilley; daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Willie Beamer; sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Tammy Tilley, and Tony and Robin Tilley; grandchildren, Tonette Tilley Hawks, Jessica Tilley, Tana Easter, Maggie Tilley, Josh Tilley, and Tyler Beamer; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Hicks; brother, Alvin Tilley; sister-in-law, Ruby Tilley; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tilley was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Tilley; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth Martin, Myrtle and Norman Branch; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Bernice Tilley, Fred and Hazel Tilley, Elmer Tilley. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8 at 11:00AM at Little Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Watson officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
