Mr. Jimmie David Pendleton

Mr. Jimmie David Pendleton, age 80, of Stuart, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on March 15, 1937 to the late Delmar J. Pendleton and Elsie Rakes Pendleton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Harbour; and a brother, John R. Pendleton. Mr. Pendleton had been a timber cutter and had retired from United Elastic. He loved to trout fish and watch all sports on TV.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Tangie and Tim Schwemer of Roanoke, Kim and Steve Belcher of Winchester; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Melissa Pendleton of Stuart; one granddaughter, Leigh Belcher; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Elva Pendleton of Stuart, Shirley and J.E. Harris of Woolwine, Larmie and Arnold Hylton of Stuart, Judy and Bob Kidd of Amelia; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gary and Gerald Pendleton both of Stuart, Dan and Sherry Pendleton, Ron Pendleton all of Critz, Jean Pendleton of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor John Franklin officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
