Mr. Jimmy Franklin Crabb, 63 of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday August 3, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Crabb was born in Surry County on May 26, 1948 to the late Barney and Emma Lyons Crabb. He worked at Wayne Farms as a line leader and was a member of Imogene Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Crabb of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Marty Wood of Elkin; thirteen grandchildren, Ragan Rose, Cayden Rose, Emily Law, Amber Bilyeu, Jonah Bilyeu, Jesse Bilyeu, Billy Wood, Jennifer Hill, Sandy Wood, Kaila Wood, Karen Poteat, Ann Law and Katasha Coin; great grandchild, Kira Wood; five sisters, Lucy Colvard, Jo Ann Crabb, Opal Wright, Janie Burnett and Josie Crabb; two brothers, Robert and David Crabb; a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Monday. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crabb was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Caudill, Doris Harris and Lena Price; a brother, John Crabb. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday August 7, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Howard Luffman. Burial will follow in Flat Top Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
