Mr. Jimmy Lee East

Mr. Jimmy Lee East, age 46 of Summerfield, North Carolina, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 8, 2007 after an extended illness. He was born in Patrick County on July 28, 1960. He had served in the United States Army and had been a surveyor for Evans Engineering. He was a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown, North Carolina.
Mr. East is survived by his wife, Patricia Vaughn East of the home; his parents, James Fred East, Sr. and Betty Nunn East of Stuart; two brothers, Tim East of Varnville, South Carolina and James Fred East, Jr. and wife, Silvia, of Morehead City, North Carolina; and three nephews, Michael East, Thomas Herron and Luis Herron.
A graveside service for Mr. East will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Locust Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Doug McGee and Rev. Dean Owenby officiating . Military rites will be conducted by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
