Mr. Jimmy Ray White

Mr. Jimmy Ray White, age 68 of Flat Rock entered the portals of heaven on June 5, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Surry County on November 14, 1947 to the late Arvil and Ella Launa Marion White. Mr. White was a retired electrician and a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Dawn White Lyman and husband Scott of Lowgap, Fawn Shaw of Mount Airy and Angela White of Eden; seven beloved grandchildren, Brittany Lyman, Kelsey King, Madison Shaw, Chandler Shaw, Caleb Shaw, Brittnay Hernandez and Jose Terrazas; three great-grandchildren and three on the way; two sisters and a brother-in-law Nancy and Dennis Hutchens of Dobson and Sue White also of Dobson; two brothers and sisters-in-law the Rev. Tony White and Reba and Dale and Robin White all of Dobson; a special friend, Janet Justice. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Welcome View Baptist Church by the Rev. Barry O’Neal and the Rev. Tony White. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of his daughter, Dawn of Lowgap. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy White memorial fund c/o Moody-Davis Funeral Home P.O. Box 295 Dobson, NC 27017 to assist the family with final expenses. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the family.
