Mr. Jody Alan Davis

Mr. Jody Alan Davis, age 25, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away on Monday October 29, 2012 in Surry County, North Carolina. He was born in Surry County on December 28, 1986 to Glenn and Jan Davis. He was a graduate of Surry Central High School, and worked for Samuel Johnson Construction and was a member of Blues Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are his parents Glenn and Jan Davis of the home; one sister Jessie Jewell Davis of the home; one brother and sister-in-law Jamie Glen and Brandy Davis of Dobson, NC; one special niece Adelynn Grace Davis; his grandmother Mary Davis of Mt. Airy, NC; girlfriend Hanna Tilley of Dobson, NC; several aunts, uncles and cousins; also his special pets Maggie, Cooper, and Clyde. He was preceded in death by his grandparents
Robert Wayne and Margie Dollyhigh Whitaker, and Arvey Esker Davis. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday November 2, 2012 at Blues Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Sammy Lawson and Rev. Ricky Thomas will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
