Mr. Joe N. Quesenberry

Mr. Joe Neal Quesenberry, age 54 of Stuart passed away Monday at his home. He was born in Danville on Dec. 20, 1956. He was preceded in death by his father, Esmond Davis Quesenberry; a sister, Debbie Quesenberry; and his father in law, Curtis Inman. He was a Staff Sgt. in the US Army and served in Operation Desert Storm. He was a Foreman for Shaw Industries and a longtime member of True Gospel Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and Head Usher.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Inman Quesenberry of the home; one son, Joseph Quesenberry of Stuart; his mother and step father, Sylvia Belcher Quesenberry Turman and Charlie J. Turman of Laurel Fork; five brothers, Gary Quesenberry and wife, Linda of Laurel Fork, Terry Quesenberry and wife, Sheila of Laurel Fork, Matt Turman and wife, Michelle of Laurel Fork, Patrick Turman and wife, Rebecca of Radford, Jimmy Turman of Hillsville; mother in law, Clara E. Inman of Stuart; two sisters in law, Georgia Terry and Brenda Inman both of Stuart; several nieces and nephews; and two special nieces, Elizabeth Kerly and Lydia Terry.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at True Gospel Baptist Church with Revs. JR Shelton and Kenneth Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends starting at 12:30 at the church. Memorials may be made to the True Gospel Baptist Church Building Fund in Joe's honor, P O Box 504, Stuart, VA 24171. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
