Mr. John Rondal "Ron" Casstevens

Mr. John Rondal Casstevens, age 72, of Boonville, NC passed away on Sunday morning December 6, 2015 at the Willow Brook Rehab and Care Center in Yadkinville. He was born in Surry Co. on January 3, 1943 to the late John Thurman Casstevens and the late Mallie Swaim Casstevens. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Dylan Casstevens. John was a member of Mitchells Chapel United Methodist Church and was a retired Sales Man. Surviving is his daughter Robin Casstevens Pope of Mt. Airy; two sons and daughter-in-law John Casstevens II and Jan Casstevens of Mt. Airy, Jody Casstevens of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren Chase Cox, Max Pope, Cameron Pope, Ava Casstevens; one brother Dean Casstevens of Boonville; and his special pet Buster. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday December 8, 2015 at Mitchells Chapel United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. John C. Pillsbury will conduct the services. The family will receive friends a Mitchells Chapel United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of his service at 2:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to any local youth foundation. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Casstevens family.
