Mr. John Cockran

Mr. John Cockran, age 67 of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Michigan. He was born on March 12, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John "Ted" Cockran and Lorna Cockran McGrath. He was retired from General Motors, was a veteran of the U S Army, and was a member of American Legion Post 243 in Fraser, Michigan.
He is survived by two sisters, Ellen Culler of Roanoke and Margaret Gorecki of Sterling Heights, Michigan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Ralph Hoke officiating. Burial will follow in the Pendleton Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
