Mr. John Rafael Scott

Mr. John Rafael Scott, 57, of King, NC passed away at his home Thursday, November 16, 2017. He was born in Forsyth County October 28, 1960 to Doris Louise Flippin Scott and the late Elbert Ray Scott. Mr. Scott was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was devoted to caring for family and friends, willing to assist anyone with their needs. Mr. Scott had a strong appreciation for life, family and the beauty of the outdoors. He was an avid Carolina Tar Heels and Panthers Fan. Mr. Scott was employed with TriMark Foodcraft in Winston Salem, with a positive attitude and strong work ethics. In addition to his mother, Mr. Scott is survived by his daughter, Meagan Elizabeth Scott; a sister Lilly Ann Ingram; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arlis Thomas and Tim Gaines officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Top Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be gathering with friends at the Carlis and Annie Flippin Homeplace, Flippin Farm Lane, Lowgap immediately following the burial.
