Mr. John Wesley Whitworth

Mr. John Wesley Whitworth, age 66 of Woolwine, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Forsyth County, North Carolina on May 7, 1940 to the late George and Maggie Jane Rhodes Whitworth. In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitworth was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve and Harry Whitworth and one sister, Kathryn Whitworth. He was retired from Unifi.
Mr. Whitworth is survived by his wife, Mary Smith Whitworth of the home; one son, Arnold Wayne Whitworth of Woolwine; two grandchildren, Abby and Brittany; two brothers and sister-in-law, Richard Whitworth and Ernest and Teresa Whitworth, all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and two sisters and brother-in-law, Marvis Whitworth and Edith and Ivan Cox, all of Winston-Salem.
Funeral services for Mr. Whitworth will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery in Woolwine. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
