Mr. John Lester Allen "Buck" Williams

Mr. John Lester Allen "Buck" Williams, age 86 of Jessup, Maryland, passed away on Friday, December 21 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on July 22, 1921 to the late John Preston and Gracie Rorrer Williams. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by an infant son; two brothers, Jimmy Lee Williams and Robert Burns "Bob" Williams; one sister, Juanita Betsy "Betty" Rogers; three nieces and two nephews. He was of the Baptist faith, and was a World War II veteran.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Mary Theresa R. Williams of the home; three sons, John E. Williams of Stuart, Thomas Wayne Williams of Mount Airy, North Carolina and Francis Allen Williams of Texas; four step-sons, James Randes of Florida, and William, Guy and Roy Randes, all of Maryland; two step-daughters, Theresa Williams of Florida and Lisa Rogers of Maryland; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and 13 step-grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Fern Baldwin of Hillsville, Bernice Shaffer of Ridgeway, Tecora Quesinberry of Stuart, India "Dot" Haynes of Mount Airy, and Gennell Williams of Fieldale; and two brothers, Frank D. William of Sparta, North Carolina and Joel P. "Pat" Williams of State Road, North Carolina.
Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Sebert Rorrer and Elder Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Family cemetery, Trot Valley Road, Stuart, with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home of Gennell Williams, 3764 Great Road, Fieldale, Virginia.
