Mr. Johnny D. Hubbard

Mr. Johnny Delane Hubbard, age 57 of Stuart, Virginia passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Forysth Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Patrick County on October 26, 1954 to the late John Marvin Hubbard and Mrs. Lorene Wright Gilley. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Allen Gilley. Johnny was craftsman and truly enjoyed making furniture. He cherished his grandchildren.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Massey Hubbard of the home; a daughter Brittany; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Devin, Alex, Abby, and Izzy; his mother, Lorene Wright Gilley of Stuart; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lois H. Stone & husband, Truman of Stuart and Janice Adams of Stuart; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Hubbard & wife, Glenda of Stuart and Ronald Hubbard & wife, Lori of Stuart and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Hubbard will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 2:00pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with the Rev. George Smith officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Mr. Hubbard's mother.
