Mr. Johnny Lee White, Sr.

Mr. Johnny L. White, age 83 of Dobson, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born, May 17, 1933 in Surry County to the late Benton and Marie White. He was a retired welder with McLean Trucking and a member of Freedom Gospel Church. Mr. White is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ola Mae Crissman White; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Danny Hoots of Rural Hall, Faye and Rodney Tuttle of Walkertown and Debra and Dean Ruth of Dobson; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Tori White of Dobson; grandchildren. J.D. Hoots, Kelly Tuttle, Chris Tuttle, Wendy Koontz, Jennifer Bost, Alexis White, Kayla White, Kinley White, Anna White and step grandson, Dean Ruth, Jr.; numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Alma Marie White, Anna Venable and Myrtle Sexton; Brothers, Howard White, Harvey White, Gurney White and Benny White. Visitation will be Monday March 6, 2017, from 6-8 PM at Freedom Gospel Church. The Funeral will be Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Freedom Gospel Church with Reverend Randy Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to The Freedom Gospel Church Building Fund 464 Old Rockford Road, Dobson, NC 27017
