Mr. Joseph Nathaniel Carroll

Mr. Joseph Nathaniel Carroll, age 61 of Floyd, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2007 at New River Valley Medical Center in Radford. He was born in South Carolina to the late J.W. and Polly Sanders Carroll, who were formerly of Patrick County. He was a self-employed carpenter and of the Presbyterian faith.
Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife, Shirley Spitler Carroll of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Janet Yarborough, Kim Carroll and Jennifer Carroll; four sons, Danny Yarborough, Larry Carroll, David Carroll and Shannon Carroll; and two step-children, Yolanda Ross and Billy Joe Westfall; 30 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Julie Simmons of Williams, Arizona and Randy and Phyllis Simmons of Floyd; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Ron Hinderliter of Williams Arizona, Judy and Rob Baxter of Chandler, Arizona and Jackie and Raul Vargas of Phoenix, Arizona.
A graveside service for Mr. Carroll will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Puckett Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
