Mr. Joseph Alva Gibbs

Mr. Joseph Alva Gibbs Age 60 of 1263 Chestnut Grove Rd. Lambsburg, VA. passed away Thursday July 26, 2012. Mr. Gibbs was born May 29, 1952 in Baltimore MD. To the late Lawrence and Ruth Smith Gibbs, he was a School Bus Driver and was a member of Truth to New Life Apostolic Church where he served as a minister. Surviving are his wife Opal Lee Gibbs of the home, one son Kevin Joseph Gibbs of Fancy Gap, VA., Two grandchildren Joseph Neal Gibbs and Karaleana Kay Gibbs, three sisters Christine Gibbs of Maryland, Geraldine Ruth of Winter Springs, FL. and Mary Ann Phillips of Maryland and by two brothers Lawrence Gibbs and Billy Gibbs both of Maryland. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 31, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Pastor Richard Cavey with burial to follow in the Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
