Mr. Joseph Thomas Hill

Mr. Joseph Thomas Hill, age 92, of Dobson passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Northern Hospital of Surry County surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Stokes County on December 5, 1924 to the late Edward Verlin and Celia Humphries Hill. Mr. Hill was a self-employed farmer and painter. He is survived by his loving children and spouses, JoAnn and Tommy Mustin, Pam and Jack Dolllyhigh, Cynthia and Jim Scott, Thomas and Regina Hill, Larry and Sandra Hill, Errol and Crystal Hill and Toby and Sherri Hill; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Stanley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mamie Perkins Hill; two sisters, Ellen Stanley and Mary Ruth Stanley; two brothers, Max Hill and Carson Hill. Services will be held at 3 pm on TuesdayJanuary 10 2017 at Copeland Baptist Church by the Rev. Joey Jessup.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Copeland Baptist Church. In lieu- of- flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oxford Orphanage 600 College Street Oxford, NC 27565. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Hill family.
