Mr. Junior Lee Chaney

Mr. Junior Lee Chaney, age 84 of Patrick Springs, Virginia passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born on April 6, 1932 to the late Fred Lee Chaney and Bertha Craig Chaney. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Chaney. Mr. Chaney had retired form Stanleytown Furniture after almost forty-two years of service.

Mr. Chaney is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Thelma Chaney of the home; five sisters, Vivian Cassell of Bassett, Velma Cassell of Fieldale, Viola Crews of Bassett, Virginia Prater of Martinsville, and Barbara Frost of Bassett; three brothers, Troy Chaney of Martinsville, Hersel Chaney of Martinsville, and Herbert Chaney of Bassett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. Chaney will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Clarence Junior McBride officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Atkins Family Cemetery located at Thompson Ridge Road, Ferrum, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
