Mr. Junior Clifford “J.C.” Cook age 76, of Dobson North Carolina passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 28, 1939 in Surry County to the late Clifford and Nina Cook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Mastin Cook; his brother John Cook; his sister, Opal Cook, and his very close friend, K.C. Mr. Cook was retired from Vaughn Bassett Furniture and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Mr. Cook is survived by his daughter; Holly Cook Benge of Dobson, sons, Wayne Cook of Dobson and Heath (Michelle) Griffin of Boonville; daughter, Libby (Gary) Wagoner of Jonesville; and daughter, Wendy (Eric) Golden of Boonville; nieces, Robin Cook Hall of Yadkinville and Diane Cook Haynes of Albermarle; and nephew Roger Cook of Dobson; a very special friend and fishing buddy, Don Miner. He is also survived by a bunch of grandchildren and a bunch of great grandchildren and several cousins close to his heart.
Visitation will be Friday, February 19, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The funeral will be Saturday, February 20th at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Wall and Reverend Randy Parrish officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Crossroads Baptist Church General Fund, 1035 Crossroads Baptist Church Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
