Mr. Junior Odell Goins

Mr. Junior Odell Goins, 65, of Cana, VA passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 11, 1952 in Patrick County, VA to the late Harry and Lelia Holt Goins. Mr. Goins was a brick mason for Frank L. Blum, and of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Janet McMillian Goins; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Josh Jancula, son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Dana Goins; grandchildren, Luke, Gavin and Scarlett Goins; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Sammy Slate, Mary Holt, and Betty Collins; and many cherished nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goins was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Tom and Shirley Holt. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Flat Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy Saturday, February 17, 2018 where his body will remain until the time to be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
