Mr. Junior Kyle "J.K." Isom

Mr. Junior Kyle “J.K.” Isom, 90, of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born in Carroll County on June 22, 1927, to Kyle and Bertha Redd Isom. Mr. Isom was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed. Mr. Isom served our country in the United States Navy. He retired after 42 years of service from Kroger, and then retired from Ingles. Among those who will always cherish his memory are his daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Wayne Amos of Winston Salem; Kim and Andy Scott of Clemmons; his grandchildren, Cali Amos, Scott Amos, Andrew Scott, William Scott, and Jackson Scott; great grandchildren, Lily Scott, and Sylus Scott; sister, Beulah Harris, Galax, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Isom was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Roberts, and Dorothy Lawson; a brother, Tex Isom. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 2:00 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Rickey Spencer officiating. Entombment will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum with full military honors conducted by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
