Mr. K. Glenn Stovall

Mr. K. Glenn Stovall, age 81 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on February 2, 1934 to the late John Hardin and Mollie Cockram Stovall. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stovall was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph A. Stovall and J. Cornelius Stovall; four half-brothers, Jim Stovall, George Lee Stovall, Ophus Stovall and Clarence Stovall; and one half-sister, Era Stovall Flynn. He had served in the United States Army and was an owner/operator of Stovall Brothers Lumber, LLC and Liberty Farms, LLC. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and had served on the Patrick Springs Boy Scout Troop 69 Committee.

Mr. Stovall is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cindy Agnew Stovall of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Kevin Handy of Stuart; one son and daughter-in-law, George and Tiffany Stovall of Patrick Springs; four grandchildren, Payton Stovall, Glenn Stovall, Kyle Handy and Rebecca Handy; one sister and brother-in-law, Alberta and Ralph Shelton of Ferrum; and two sisters-in-law, Jean Stovall and Nancy Stovall, both of Patrick Springs.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Anderson and Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church, and at other times at the home.
