Mr. Kenneth Holder Cave, 52, of Dobson passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2012 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Cave was born on June 15, 1959 to Guyner H. and Barbara Galyean Cave. He was a self employed farmer who loved the land and took great pleasure in watching his crops grow. He was a graduate of Surry Central High School and attended Piedmont Bible College. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Debbie Cave of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Renita and Ronnie Hazelwood of Dobson; a niece and nephew, Kenneth Ray "K. R." Flippen and Heather Rumley and a very special great- niece and nephew Macie and Karsen Flippen. Mr. Cave was preceded in death by his much beloved paternal grandparents, Paul and Pauline Cave. His funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Salem Fork Baptist Church at 555 Twin Oak Road by the Rev. Tom Parker and the Rev. Van Brindle with burial to follow in the church cemetery. His body will be taken to the church to lie-in-state one hour prior to the service. There will be no formal visitation, however, the family will greet friends at their home at 672 Cave Road Dobson following the graveside committal service. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Fork Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Joey White 419 White Road Elkin, NC 28621. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Cave family.
