Mr. Kenneth "Ted" Durham

Mr. Kenneth “Ted” Durham, age 75 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at his home. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 10, 1940 to the late Gaston Vernon Durham and Connie Jennings Durham. In addition to his parents, Mr. Durham was preceded in death by two brothers, Tyrone Durham and Max Durham; and a sister, Ruth Ingram. He was retired from Spencer’s.

Mr. Durham is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen Thompson Durham of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tammy Durham of Stuart; four daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Robert Overman of Greensboro, North Carolina, Gail Morris of Greensboro, Sharon and Timmy Johnson of McLeansville, North Carolina and Karen Odell of Browns Summit, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Bost, Polly Houghton and Linda Faye Getz, all of Florida.

A memorial service will be held at New Beginnings Baptist Church on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Patrick County Chapter, P. O.
