Mr. Kenneth D. Edmondson

Mr. Kenneth Dale Edmondson, age 80 of Patrick Springs passed away Sunday morning at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born in Springfield, IL on July 5, 1930 to the late Arthur and Bertha Edmondson. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Mr. Edmondson was a 1st Sergeant in the US Army with the 187th Airborne Infantry Division during the Korean War. He was also was a member of VFW Post 7800.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Keith Edmondson of the home; two daughters, Crystal Tankersley of Patrick Springs, Kimberly Howell of Ararat; two step daughters, Robin Vance and Sandra Hylton both of Elamsville; one step son, Junior Webster of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia Haynes of Pennsylvania; and one brother, Dallas Edmondson of Florida.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart at 10:00 AM until time to proceed to cemetery.
