Mr. Kenneth Ray "Doctor Ken" Johnson

Mr. Kenneth Ray “Doctor Ken” Johnson, 53, of Lowgap passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017. He was born in Surry County on June 12, 1963 to Bernie William and Mildred Ann Leftwich Johnson. “Doctor Ken” was a self-employed auto body repairman. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and the Junior Warden of Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF & AM. He loved his family and was an avid cyclist until a unfortunate accident in 2006. In addition to his parents, “Doctor Ken” is survived by his wife, Delma Lynne Tolbert Johnson; his son, Wesley Dexter Johnson; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Tom Richardson; and a brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Tracey Johnson. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. David Sechrist officiating. Full Masonic Rites will be conducted by Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF & AM. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Kenneth served for many years in various missions to help others. The family appreciates the thought of flowers, but encourages anyone who would like to send memorial contributions to send them to Brenner’s Children’s Hospital or to the charity of the donor’s choice.Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
