Mr. Kenneth Luther Perkins, Sr

Mr. Kenneth Luther Perkins, Sr. age 81 of Mt. Airy, NC. passed away Monday December 21, 2015 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Mr. Perkins was born June 15, 1934 in Montcalm, WV. To the late Albert and Georgia Perkins, he was retired from Bassett Furniture and was a member of Fancy Gap Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law Sherrie and Steve Newman of Mt. Airy, two sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth and Rhonda Perkins, Jr of Mt. Airy and Mark and Carol Perkins of Kingsport, TN., a son-in-law William Sneed of Mt. Airy, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister Irene Mills of Montcalm, WV. a brother Joe Blaine Perkins of Montclam, WV., and a special niece, Kimberly Morris. In addition to his parents Mr. Perkins was preceded in by his wife Betty Faye Perkins, one daughter Tammy Sneed, three sisters Barbara Gentry, Kathleen Hartwell and Gladys Perkins and by three brothers Oscar, Sylvester and Lonnie Darrel Perkin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning December 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Fancy Gap Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Dwight Sechrist with burial to follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night 6 to 8 P.M. at Fancy Gap Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fancy Gap Baptist Church, 1161 W. Lebanon St. Mt. Airy, NC. 27030 or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200 Mt.
