Mr. Kenneth Thomas Shelton

Mr. Kenneth Thomas Shelton, 79, of Mt. Airy passed away at Golden Living in Mt. Airy on Friday, July 8, 2016. He was born in Surry County on December 2, 1936 to the late James and Madge Adkins Shelton. Mr. Shelton bravely served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Cockerham’s Printing. Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife, Zettie Mae Cockerham Shelton of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Nadine Shelton of King; a grandson, Dwight Shelton and girlfriend, Amy Bogan both of Swannanoa; a sister and brother-in-law, Iris and Bobby Lynch. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Shelton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Rickey Spencer officiating. Entombment will be held at Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Sunday at Moody Funeral Home in Mt Airy.
