Mr. Kenneth Theodore Waters, age 93, of Mt. Airy, died Sunday, January 31, 2016, at his home. Mr. Waters was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 18, 1922, to Theodore Bidwell and Edith Elizabeth Nims Waters. He served in WWII as a B17 Bomber Pilot and participated in operation Aphrodite. He was an avid sailor and played tennis. He retired from Boeing’s Helicopter Division as an Engineer. Mr. Waters was a very loving father and grandfather and was devoted to his wife, Dorothy. Surviving is a daughter, Amy C. Johnson; a son, Eric G. Waters; grandchildren, Corinne J. Hassey, Christian Johnson and Rylin Johnson; a precious great granddaughter, Penelope; a sister, Barbara Noble; a brother, David Waters and wife Patricia; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Holley. In addition to his parents, Mr. Waters was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Anne Ransome Waters; a son-in-law, Dr. William J. Johnson; a sister, Elinor Holley, and a brother, Al Waters. A celebration of life for Mr. Waters will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Kevin Wilson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
