Mr. Larry Edward Chandler

Mr. Larry Edward Chandler, 71, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, October 04, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Surry County on May 6, 1945 to the late Lewis and Lillie Mathis Chandler. Mr. Chandler was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Hodges Chandler of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Belinda and Benton Sawyers, Sandra Keener and friends, Keith and Gray Slawter all of Mt. Airy, Cynthia and Eric Moats of Dobson; grandchildren, Justin Chandler, Jason Chandler, Brooke Hawks, Brittany Hawks, Dylan Moats, Ethan Moats; three great grandchildren; Lilly, Randy, and Laila; two step great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Lovill, Peggy Webb, and Brenda Hiatt all of Mt. Airy; a brother and sisters-in-law, Donald and Barbara Chandler, Helen Chandler, and Sue Chandler all of Mt. Airy; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by sisters, Janie Bondurant, and Lois Chandler; brothers, Johnny, Wade, and Billy Chandler; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lovill, and Tim Bondurant. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Wilber Hiatt and Bishop John Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
