Mr. Larry Kyle Handy

Mr. Larry Kyle Handy, age 66, of Patrick Springs, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on Aug. 10, 1950 to the late Noel Jasper Handy and Velma Virginia Layman Handy. Larry was a former Superintendent of the Martinsville Prison Farm and had served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda Setliff Handy of Stuart; three daughters, Stephanie Handy Burton of Glade Hill, Crystal Foley Wagoner and husband, Chris of Stuart, Misty Light and fiancé, Shawn Taylor of Stuart; one son, Robert Vance Foley of Stuart; four grandchildren, Lauren Wood, Jenna Burton, Easton Light, Adara Taylor; one sister, Shirlene Layman of Stuart; two brothers, Leon Handy and wife, Eleanor, Ricky Handy and fiancé, Kimberly Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will follow in the Patrick Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
