Mr. Larry Lloyd Harris

Mr. Larry Lloyd Harris, age 62 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 at his home. Mr. Harris was born in Patrick County on June 5, 1948 to Freda Nester Harris and the late Lloyd Harris. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was retired. Mr. Harris is survived by a daughter, Holli Harris of Mt. Airy; step-daughter, Melanie Creed Quesinberry of Wytheville, VA; and a son, Barry Allen Spangler, Hillsville VA, his mother, Freda Nester Harris of Stuart, VA; a sister, Hilda Sink of Bassett, VA; brothers and a sisters-in-law, Leonard and Hazel Harris of Laurel Fork, VA, Glenn Harris of Stuart, VA, Danny and Linda Harris of Martinsville, VA, and Nancy Harris of Meadows of Dan, VA; many special friends. In addition to his father, Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Marion Harris and a brother, Ray Harris; a brother-in-law, Clarence Sink. A private memorial service will be held later with full military honors conducted by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain.
