Mr. Larry Grey Parsons

Mr. Larry Grey Parsons, 70, of Thurmond passed away at his home Thursday, August 24, 2017. He was born in Surry County on May 12, 1947 to the late Paul and Josephine Atkins Parsons. Mr. Parsons proudly served in the U.S. Army while stationed in South Korea. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and retired from the NC DOT after 34 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jessie McMillan Parsons; his daughter, Larra Leigh Parsons; his son, Joshua Grey Parsons; and grandchildren, Caedence Martin, Emmerson Martin and Jenna Parsons. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Sunday, August 27, 2017 at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Gray Kirkman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:30 until the time of the service.
