Mr. Larry Dale Thomas

Mr. Larry Dale Thomas, age 65 of Stuart passed away Saturday at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born in Carroll County on Apr. 21, 1947. He was preceded in death by his father, Robie Columbus Thomas. He had worked for Masonite in Stuart, Duncan's Speed Shop; and ran Duncan's Carp Pond.
Surviving are his mother, Lucy Bowman Thomas of Stuart; two sisters and a brother in law, Priscilla and Jesse Lawson of Stuart, Faye Tucker of Stuart; one brother, Ivon Thomas of Stuart; two Aunts, Louise Thomas of Laurel Fork, Nancy Mabry of Collinsville; nieces and nephews, Annette Harbour, Carol Willard, James Lawson, Joanne Spangler, Allen Tucker, Kenneth Tucker, Nathaniel Thomas; and his best friend, Dennis Duncan.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Nov. 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastors Don Reynolds and Mark Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Fork Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
