Mr. Lawrence Lee Martin

Mr. Lawrence Lee Martin age 68 of Clover, SC, formerly of Stuart passed away March 19, 2011 at the home of his son. He was born on May 6, 1942 to the late James Edgar Martin and Della Mae Martin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William Maynard Martin and two sisters, Jean Martin Day and Juanita Martin Handy. Mr. Martin was retired from the lumber business, where he worked many dedicated years with Pilson Brothers Lumber.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 44 years, Peggy Brummett Martin of the home; two sons, Rex Lee Martin of Clover, S.C. and Jerry Wayne Martin of Patrick Springs, VA, two granddaughters, Meagan Martin and McKenzie Martin both of Clover, SC; three step grandchildren, Cassy Foster of Victorville, CA, Chery Shumate of Apple Valley, CA and Chawn Bingham of Stuart, VA; four brothers, Grover Ted Martin of Meadow of Dan, VA, James Odell Martin of Brooksville, FL, Jimmy Ray Martin of Bassett, VA and Freddie Lee Martin of Stuart, VA; five sisters, Marie Martin Hall of Martinsville, VA, Annette Martin Belcher of Stuart, VA, Brenda Martin Worley of Woolwine, VA, Judy Martin Hylton of Stuart, VA, Kathy Martin Folks of Loudon, TN and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Martin will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 2:00pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Rev. Randy Rippey and Wayne Pruitt officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
