Mr. Lenville Everett Martin

Mr. Lenville Everett Martin, age 78 of Hillsville passed away at his home on Friday, November 23, 2012. He was born in Carroll County, VA on February 18, 1934 to the late Everett Lenville and Goldie Ann Quesenberry Martin. Mr. Martin served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 until 1956. He was a carpenter and a talented brick and stone mason. Mr. Martin is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Amy Cassie Willis Martin of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Reed Chism of Anchorage, AK; two sisters, June Semones of Williamsburg, VA and Eulalia Arnold of Salem, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by an infant son, Alan Wayne Martin and a brother, Mahlon Martin. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, November 26, 2012 at Rome Missionary Baptist with Rev. Terry McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin-Farris Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy from 6:00 until8:00 PM where his body will remain until the time to leave for the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.
