Mr. Lenwood Lee Bowers

Mr. Lenwood Lee Bowers, age 75 of Woolwine, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Pioneer Community Hospital. He was born in Augusta County, Virginia on October 6, 1937 to the late Hugh and Bertha Jeanniney Bowers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowers was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda B. Puckett; one brother, Hugh "Sonny" Bowers; and one sister, Catherine Corum.
Mr. Bowers is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bessie Wood Bowers of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and K. Dale Rakes, Jeannie and John Frisco; two sons and daughters-in-law, L. Dwayne and Karen Bowers, Tim and Annette Bowers, all of Stuart; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one step great-granddaughter; two brothers, Raymond Bowers of Martinsville and Eugene Bowers of Collinsville; and three sisters, Annie Lawrence of Tennessee, Janet Ratliff of Martinsville and Judy Davidson of Martinsville.
