Mr. Leonard G. Belcher

Mr. Leonard Greely Belcher, age 78 of Woolwine passed away Friday at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born on April 27, 1935 in Patrick County to the late Landis Greely Belcher and Nancy Evelyn Conner Belcher. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Hylton Belcher; and two brothers, John and Delmar Belcher. He was a longtime member of Smith River Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are four sisters, Stella Conner of Woolwine, Mary Conner of Fieldale, Velda Smart of Woolwine, Evadell Clark of Fieldale; one brother, Maynard Belcher of Stuart; 13 nieces; and 16 nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Woolwine Cemetery.
