Mr. Leonard Preston Hutson

Mr. Leonard Preston Hutson, age 75 of Yakdinville, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Hutson was born in Surry County on November 17, 1939 to John Willie and Edna Johnson Hutson. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend who will be dearly missed. Surviving are a daughter, Belinda Hutson; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Terri Hutson; the mother of his children, Betty Carson Hutson; granddaughters, Amy Vestal, Danielle Hutson and Demi Hutson; a great grandson, Keaten Pullen; step grandchildren, Katelyn Gowin and Patrick King; a step great grandson, Rhyden Gowin; sisters and a brother-in-law, Annie Mae Burner, Hilda Bruner and Bonnie and Jerry Shropshire; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Virginia Hutson, Ronnie and Iva Hutson and Randall Hutson and fiancée Sharon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutson was preceded in death by a son, Danny Hutson, a sister, Mary Ruth Atkins and by a brother, Kenneth Hutson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 16, 2015 at The Community Church by Rev. Ray Hutson and Rev. Ronnie Chamblin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at noon and at other times at the home of Betty Hutson, 2288 Old Winston Rd., Pilot Mountain, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be may be made to Moody Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
