Mr. Leonard Ardis Pack

Mr. Leonard Ardis Pack, age 74 of Ararat died on Friday, July 11, 2008 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on June 20, 1934 to the late Ab and Emma Bowman Pack. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pack was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia "Sis" Pack; and two brothers, Carl and Straud Pack. He had been employed as a bulldozer operator for Jimmy Lynch, and attended True Gospel Baptist Church.
Mr. Pack is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Lee and Lycresha Pack of Floyd; one daughter, Susan Emma Pack of Meadows of Dan; two grandchildren, Kindra Dawn Pack and James Leonard Cole Pack; three sisters, Barbara P. Dalton of Stuart, Roena P. Goins of Mount Airy, North Carolina and Ila P. Arnder of Ararat; two brothers, Ernest Pack and Lloyd Pack, both of Claudville; and special friends, Dorothy Duncan and Daniel Handy.
Funeral services for Mr. Pack will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. J. R. Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pack Family Cemetery.
