Mr. Leroy Bryce Holbrook

Mr. Leroy Bryce Holbrook, age 81, of Thurmond, North Carolina passed away on Thursday morning October 18, 2012 at his home. He was born in Wilkes County on March 29, 1931 to the late Ralph Avery and Sallie Vestal Holbrook. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of Gid Branch Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Bonner Holbrook. Surviving are his wife Vetril Adams Holbrook of the home; one daughter Susie Holbrook of Thurmond; one son and daughter-in-law Hammer and Cathy Holbrook of Thurmond; two grandchildren Sheila Holbrook and Caleb Holbrook; one niece Lisa Holbrook; four Nephews Andy Holbrook, Sandy Holbrook, Wayne and Betty Holbrook, Scottie and Retha Holbrook. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning October 20, 2012 at Gid Branch Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery with full Military Honors by Yadkin Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard Post 10346. Rev. Danny Royal and Rev. E.R. Wiles will conduct the services. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning one hour prior the funeral service at Gid Branch Baptist Church.
