Mr. Leslie Elmer Fleck, Jr

Mr. Leslie Elmer Fleck, Jr., 95, of Mount Airy and formerly of Charlotte, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017, at RidgeCrest Retirement Community. Mr. Fleck was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 21, 1921, to Leslie Elmer Fleck, Sr. and Ada Marie Leet Fleck. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Eddie Corder of Mount Airy and his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas H. and Beth Fleck of Clover, SC; step grandsons, Ben Linderman and Adam Linderman; a brother, Robert Fleck and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fleck was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Dorothy Heckard Fleck and a brother, John Fleck. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care at 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030 or to the Humane Society of the donor’s choice.
