Mr. Lonzie Lee Martin

Mr. Lonzie Lee Martin, age 84 of Stuart, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011. A native of Patrick Springs, he was born on September 24, 1926 to the late Charlie and Mable Martin. In 1947, after serving in the United States Navy during World War II, he and his brother, Frank, opened Martin's Texaco in Patrick Springs where he worked until he retired.
Mr. Martin is survived by a sister, Ruth Gunnell of Danville.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sybil; his second wife, Mildred; a son, Mike Martin; a step-son, J. L. Axsom; a step-daughter, Norma Zanetti Axsom; two brothers, Caney and Frank Martin; and one sister, Edith Fulcher.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011 in Patrick Memorial Gardens in Stuart with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
