Mr. Luther Allen Golding, Sr., 64, of Lambsburg, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday afternoon, July 14, 2017. Mr. Golding was born April 12, 1953, in Surry County, the son of Forest Bryant Golding and the late C. J. Golding. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Left to cherish his memory is a daughter and son-in-law, Annette Golding Terry and husband Marty; a son and daughter-in-law, Luther “Luke” Allen Golding, Jr. and wife Tammy; five grandchildren, Nicole Terry, Martina Terry, Maggie Terry, Nathan Golding, and Katie Golding; his mother, Forest Bryant Golding; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Phyllis Golding, and Marie and L. J. Simmons; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Trudy Golding; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Golding was preceded in death by a grandson, Casey Owen Terry; and a brother, Clarence Wade Golding. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with burial to follow in the Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night, July 17, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00PM and at other times at the home of Luke and Tammy Golding.
